Shadowclip clip-ons are a compression fit of select parts connecting to the clip lenses with strength and durability. A design so unique that our product has its own patents. This patented design holds at least 8 pounds before releasing its grip – or 52,000 times its own weight – and can be reattached without loss of hold. The connecting bridge, in regular sizes, has up to 90 degrees of flex and rotation which returns to its original shape. All without impacting lens integrity.

They are a great alternative to Transitions when patients don’t want to commit to having the tint in their lenses all the time. They are less expensive than other custom-made clip-ons. and I invented Shadowclip
As an ECP, I started selling clip-ons to clients many years ago, but I found it a challenge to get professional results from the DIY kits that I tried... so I created my own! The idea for Shadowclip came to me in 2010 and after a few years of R&D was successfully launched at Vision Expo in New York in 2014.
The benefits of Shadowclip are numerous for both customers and ECP's. Custom clips offer clients cost savings, convenience, and the ability to have numerous clips that fit one frame. For ECP’s Shadowclip is a great add-on item if you want to sell more product, offer faster service, and be more profitable. The ability to make the clips in-house saves on manufacturing costs, shipping costs, and the inconvenience to your customer because the outsourced lab needs their frames while the clips are being made. Future clips can be made without the frames present simply by saving the template and information for future use. The other major benefit is that there is no risk of damage to the prescription lenses because Shadowclip clip-on lenses never touch the prescription lens surface.
